Our Future Our Vote Campaign

While New York may not be the primary state mentioned in national voting rights discussions, historically it remains a serial offender when it comes to restricting the right to vote and subsequently limiting the strength of political power in vulnerable communities . In light of that history, they must be empowered to use every tool available to determine who and what policies best serve their community. Voting is a key part of that effort and that’s why the CLSJ Our Future Our Vote campaign seeks to:

• Elevate civic knowledge and civic participation in vulnerable communities with a special emphasis on youth ages 17-35;
• Build out the infrastructure necessary for sustained political empowerment within NYC’s traditionally marginalized communities; and
• Center the power of the people through voting, civic engagement, and grassroots organizing!
