CLSJ Administrative Assistant

Part Time position

Salary: $ 25/hr; 25 hrs/ week

 

Responsibilities:

CLSJ seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant to support its operations.  Specifically, the Administrative Assistant will:

  • Monitor, report and respond to incoming calls; monitor organizational emails and respond to online inquiries; 
  • Maintain  CLSJ online calendars;
  • Coordinate logistics of staff and project meetings;
  • Update information on website as instructed;
  • Prepare and facilitate timely submission of procurement requests and travel authorizations; and
  • Lead and coordinate ad-hoc office projects as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • One to three years’ administrative experience preferably in a nonprofit, public policy or advocacy-oriented setting;
  • Active involvement in community organizations that demonstrate a commitment to racial and social justice movements;
  • Superb project management, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Well-organized and attentive to details; and
  • Able to work independently and also collaboratively with others, maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

CLSJ Grant Writer

Part Time position

Salary: $47.42/hour; 10 hours/week

 

Responsibilities:

CLSJ seeks an experienced Grant Writer to help support its Development work.  Specifically, the Grant Writer will:

  • Research potential foundation and corporate funders; 
  • Draft grant proposals with input from Project and Deputy Directors; and
  • Assist in managing the development calendar by tracking proposal and report due dates.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Three years Grant writing experience in the nonprofit sector;
  • Record of successfully securing foundation and corporate grants and managing multiple deadlines;
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial and social justice movements;
  • Well-organized, attentive to details and committed to excellence; and
  • Able to work independently and also collaboratively with others, maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

CLSJ Communications Associate

Part Time position

Salary: $47.42/hour; 10 hours/week

 

Responsibilities:

CLSJ seeks a Communications Associate to grow and cultivate CLSJ’s media presence.  Specifically, the Communications Associate will:

  • Create and maintain engaging content across CLSJ’s website, social media posts, newsletters, and collateral. Collaborate with staff and external partners to gather information, stories, and data for content development.
  • Build and maintain an extensive list of media contacts, cultivate relationships with reporters and media outlets; 
  • Draft press releases, advisories, speeches, talking points, related presentations, and information as requested; 
  • Actively pitch op-eds to local and citywide publications and websites.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Three years Communications experience in the nonprofit sector;
  • Excellent writing, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; and 
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial and social justice movements.
